So I make a chart that has all the days across the top and then times from 7:30AM to 11PM. Then I fill it in with everything that I have to do: classes, co-op, work, care group, chapel, council duties and so on. I then sit back and look at it and try to figure out where I can fit in my homework time, devotional time, fun time, and relaxing time. I then put that on the chart.
Also at the beginning of the semester, I map out all of my assignments in my planner. That's right, I put in all the due dates and reading assignments. I work from there and make a date as to when I should start researching, when I want to have a draft done, and when a final copy should be finished.
The third thing I do each week is make a list of all the school work and non-school work that I need to get done. And as I get those items completed, I take great joy in crossing them off. I know this might sound scary for some; this level of organization is not always easy for all. But even if you can take a portion of it, or develop a system for yourself you will find your time here much less stressful.
I just want to touch on the relaxing portion. I have found for myself that I am terrible at taking time out to relax. If I ever do, I feel guilty because I know there are other things that need to be done. So this is where all that pre-planning comes in. I can plan my week and semester so that I am not behind or running late. So I can take all of Sunday off to relax and enjoy. Mind you this is still not the easiest thing to do, and I often cheat, but it is worth a try each week.
I hope this helps, and don't forget while you are working on all your papers that the editing service is available every day in the library. Just sign up for a time slot!
Sincerely,
Queen B

Dear Queen B:
Whatever happened to the lone ranger?
x_drewfan_7000_x

Dear x_drewfan_7000_x
I'll let you in on a secret. You see, the Lone Ranger is not just any
average Joe. Some have related him to a superhero because he comes to the rescue of all those lost fellows out there. When they cry for help in desperation of not understanding a woman, he flies onto the scene with his vast knowledge of women and shares it. You see the Lone Ranger is not actually alone nor a ranger; it's a cover up. Actually, he's quite taken by a secret woman whose identity also must be protected. So if you long to hear again from the Lone Ranger, send out a cry of confusion over a woman, and he will answer. Oh yes, he will answer.
Yours truly,
Queen B

Dear Queen B:
Why does the word abbreviation have so many letters?

Humorously Confused

Dear Humorously Confused:
If I could give you a virtual gold sticker for your excellent observation I
would. My answer for you is simple, politics. There are politics in
every aspect of life and always have been. So even in the early days of
English writing when someone decided to create the word abbreviation, there
were politics present. There was probably a council of highly intellectual
men who sat down to decide on the word that would eventually mean condensed
words. And in doing so they could not decide on a smaller word, because the
meaning already has to do with smaller, they wanted to prove that they’re
intellect and power was not small and therefore created a big word to mean
small. You see my friend: it’s all politics.

Yours Truly,
Queen B

Dear Queen B
“I am a big fan of music. Sometimes I like to dance in my room when my roommate isn’t around. I have a problem though. I am starting to get really bored of my music collection. Do you have any suggestions for some fun music that I can dance in my room to?"

Thanks,
Itchin’ to Dance.

Dear Itchin' to Dance:
First off I have to say “kudos to you” for creating your own form of creative exercise while living on dorm. I have to admit that I have also taken to this practice in my own down time. As to music selection I highly recommend a Rosemary Clooney CD like her Greatest Hits. This is a collection of classical upbeat jazz tunes that will keep you moving for a good hour, or until someone comes and asks you to turn it down. Which I must caution depending on which dorm building you live in be sure to take into account the amount of jumping off your bed you do or dancing with your chair. This can make an awful racket to those below you and many uncomfortable confrontations can arise from it. I hope you find this CD to be to your liking it has brought me many hours of enjoyable dancing.

Yours Truly,
Queen B

<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m105/thevoiceofebc/Sept%2018/brittany-1.jpg" border="0"/a>

As you should know by now, Brittany Rice is this year's Student Council President.
